Privacy Policy
This policy explains how NineBrief Inc. handles personal data on the NineBrief landing page, including information you submit to the waitlist.
This policy covers the root NineBrief website and waitlist. The free business tools under /tools/ have a separate privacy notice for their browser-local document workflows.
1. Who we are
NineBrief Inc. operates ninebrief.com. For privacy, legal, or data-protection questions and requests, contact legal@ninebrief.com. General business inquiries may be sent to hello@ninebrief.com.
2. Information we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you choose to provide. We may also receive ordinary website and security information associated with your visit, such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or user-agent information, protocol details and security signals generated by our hosting and delivery providers.
Do not submit passwords, payment-card data, confidential documents or unrelated sensitive information through the waitlist form.
3. Why we use the information
We use waitlist emails to manage interest in NineBrief, communicate launch or materially related product information, respond to requests and maintain appropriate operational records. Website and security data may be used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, diagnose technical problems and protect the service.
Joining the waitlist does not create a paid subscription or a NineBrief account.
4. Service providers and international processing
Cloudflare helps deliver and protect the website. Google Fonts supplies the Manrope interface font. Web3Forms processes waitlist submissions so they can be delivered to NineBrief's email inbox. These providers may process request or submission information outside Kenya.
Where Kenyan data-protection law applies to an international transfer, NineBrief will use the safeguards or other lawful basis required for that transfer.
5. Retention
We keep waitlist information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including launch communications, follow-up, security, dispute handling and legal or record-keeping obligations. You may ask us to remove your waitlist email by contacting legal@ninebrief.com, subject to any information we must lawfully retain.
Independent infrastructure and communication providers may have their own operational retention periods.
6. Your data-protection rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019 and applicable regulations, data subjects have rights that include being informed about processing, access, objection, correction and deletion, with additional rights such as restriction and portability applying where the legal conditions are met.
To exercise a right concerning information NineBrief controls, contact legal@ninebrief.com. We may request proportionate information to verify the request and protect other people.
You may also raise a complaint with Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the website and information we control. No internet transmission or storage system is risk-free, so please use appropriate care when deciding what to send.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as NineBrief's services change. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and any notice or choice required by applicable law.
